Leadership At Spirit of Christ

We celebrated many accomplishments in the past three years. We had our first anniversary as Spirit of Christ Community Lutheran Church. We organized our first mission trip to Ecuador. We added a weekly e-newsletter, our first real presence on Facebook, and two member blogs. We began our first work with TreeHouse and the beginnings of the Suburban Host Homes program. We committed to a shared staff position with Kristina Fruge heading up the new Faith Community Partnership. Additionally, we still support all the activities that initially defined Ascension Lutheran Church and First Lutheran Church which brought us together as one church: our work with Our Saviour's Shelter, Sojourner Project, Wayside House, our local school ministry, Feed My Starving Children, Families Moving Forward and providing space for AA, NA, and OA meetings. We contnue to provide our Summer Day Camp for kids, our Christmas Choir Cantata, our neighborhood food drive and so many other activities.

Thank you to all of you who give of your time and resources to all the activities at Spirit of Christ. Thank you to the members of Spirit of Christ Congregational Council who work so hard to help us "Worship, Grow, and Serve".

We are all excited for this church year and the continuation of all the good things we do as part of Christ's mission for us and our mission of helping those around us.
